I've searched every store, hardware center, and website I could think of to find this ceiling fan. We remodeled our kitchen, added recessed lighting and needed a ceiling fan that would not disturb the lights. Our kitchen is quite small and has a small window with no cross ventilation. A fan was a must for this repair. I was so happy to find this fan that matched everything I was looking for! It really sits very close to the ceiling and doesn't cause any light flickering when running. 3 different lighting options are good, although there doesn't seem to be a way to "block" the desired color of light. Turning the light off and on again scrolls through each of the 3 options each time. The lighting and fan option works independently with a remote control. I'm still shocked at the amount of air this little fan moves, even at low speeds! And it's virtually silent in the lows and mids with very little noise in the highs. You can feel the air movement in all areas of the kitchen on higher settings - much more powerful than that old big false ceiling fan we've all been using for years. the color and the flush installation make it hardly noticeable. The performance and feature benefits far outweigh any concerns I had about the modern looks. We have had this ceiling light/fan for a few months now and I use it daily with no problems. It arrived quickly and well packaged with brief easy to read installation instructions. I highly recommend this item as I couldn't find anything comparable on the market.
