Update: It's now 12-6-20 so 1.5 years later and the turn signals still work great . So for now I can recommend them to anyone looking for switches. Original: I had already replaced the low beams, fog lights and reverse lights with LEDs before tackling it. But they were all plug and play, so this one was definitely different. It was very easy and you can see the big difference in my photos and videos. I started Gambit to find out what I would need to install front LED turn signals (not hyper flashing, fully working) on my 2010 Ford Edge. If you're like me and freaked out when you saw that the resistors might need to be installed, don't worry. It was very easy. At least as long as you put the bulbs in, they'll work, so you won't be left without working turn signals. But they can hyperflash - they will blink quickly (as if you had a blown lightbulb). I say that to let you know that if, say, something happens during installation, you won't screw it up. You can easily remove and install the resistors later. As far as I know any machine with this socket (3157/4157) just needs a resistor connecting the two outer wires together (leaving the middle one intact). I heard about this from a professional who changed the rear turn signal on another car (it was another Ford). I'm not saying that's always true, so take it how you will. But I'm an engineer and it was enough for me to believe and everything worked. I had a multimeter with me in case it didn't work so I could find out if it wasn't working. As I said, I switched all my headlights to LED and it has made a huge difference. So that was just the next step and I thought I need switches. I decided my car could handle them and went with them. You need clear lids, or the switches don't make sense. *If you want to check if your car supports them electronically, just do what I did and see if your factory (non-LED) bulbs have a dimming mode (they look barely lit during the day) and then get brighter , when the signal is on. With limited information to fit them to a specific car model and year - yes I know Revain (and others) will tell you they will fit your car, but that's only because they have the right socket. It's about the number of resistors needed (if any), schematics, and being comfortable knowing I won't screw up if I bump into my car's wiring. In the end I just decided to order them, figured I'd have them delivered to my home and then decide what to do from there - if that looks too complicated, send them back. But because they came with one resistor per side (2 total) and also 4 terminals (which don't require actual cutting or soldering). I knew at least one side would work if two were required, and I'd just order more resistors from here (they're really cheap). The only thing to watch out for when using the supplied plugs is that you have the wires in the correct socket and that the resistance wire is inserted far enough. Because they're pretty much a one-time deal. You clamp them and they cut and connect both wires together (so if the resistance wire isn't fully clamped, you end up disconnecting it in your hand and you can't connect it). Hope that helps. Please mark this as helpful if yes. So I know that these long reviews with photos etc. are worthwhile. Many Thanks
