Extravagance - buy sandpaper and fabric scissors instead

I have so many clothes that feature pills and fluffy balls so I was happy to find something to get rid of them. I thought maybe it had some blades or high quality. some. nope It's just sandpaper placed in some kind of giant plastic device. I foolishly thought this would solve my frizz problems. After about 3 garments the edges lost their tooth and became. useless. Only about 1mm of margin is useful and once it's gone, it's gone. Even if there are replacements, it's more plastic than edges. And for the cost I expected it to last at least 20 garments to remove the pilling. Fluffy balls are difficult to remove from the edges, and it hardly removes fluffy items from thick items. With a long edge, you won't get into small areas like around buttons. Instead, take 100 grit sandpaper and tear it into 1 inch strips for your smaller pills. This gives you better control and you only rip off small streaks as the sandpaper wears down (you only scrape off small grit). Even easier to remove the lint from the sandpaper. (I was able to remove the pilling from the entire flannel shirt with this method) For your big fluffy balls, get some very good quality fabric scissors (leave them for fabric only - the paper will dull them). Carefully trim the edge of the fabric and "cut" off the villi. (I was able to remove pilling from all carpets with this method)
