Review on Alead TRX HD Pro Transmitter by Marquez Hinshaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bluetooth wireless headphone transmitter

My existing wireless headphone adapter has become unreliable. Dropouts and random noise. (Headphone jack with Roku 3 and Roku Ultra remote). So I considered options. I've seen similar devices, but this device seemed to have the most flexibility. I could use an analog headset or HMDI. That works great. It's very useful that it's powered via MicroUSB as I have a USB power adapter with an extra connector right where I wanted to put it. HDMI input and output work fine. I feed the HDMI output from my Roku to this little guy, take out the HMDI and feed it to my monitor. (I don't use a TV.) Sounds great. The front panel controls and indicators are very convenient. The controls have a capacitive feel, so a fingernail won't work. But I can definitely live with that. As for the Bluetooth receiver, I haven't used that feature. But it's good that this device has such an option. I had initial problems, but that's on me. First I used the analog output from my monitor. So it covered both my Roku and my computer. But it just didn't work, crackles and other effects. I added an HDMI cable and suddenly my Roku sound was perfect. I later found that my analog output from my monitor was too high. So I turned it down to 1/4 volume and now it's good too. (Although not quite perfect, I'll work on that later.) Overall, I'll give it a "I'd buy again" rating if I have to. (Assuming it doesn't turn into a puddle tonight.)
