Review on ๐Ÿš€ Unleash Virtual Reality with HTC VIVE Cosmos by Agata Krupa แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

Hopes are justified. The price certainly bites. Over 70k for a helmet. Treated myself in connection with an unexpected bonus for the new year. Chose budget options. The choice was between Oculus Rift S and Vive Cosmos. I leaned towards the Oculus Rift S because of the price (still 30 thousand cheaper). But the Oculus Rift S has one significant drawback: there is no way to physically adjust the interpupillary distance. The Oculus Rift S defaults to 63.5mm while mine is 66mm. For VR, this is a tangible difference. If the interpupillary distance is not yours, then your vision will be very strained. Experimentally tested on my Vive Cosmos. Oculus Rift S manufacturers claim that the interpupillary distance adjustment is performed by hardware, but I am somewhat skeptical about this. In general, I decided not to take risks, overpaid 30 thousand and bought Vive Cosmos. The toy is certainly expensive, but it's worth it. Children under 12 years old and people with a weak vestibular apparatus are contraindicated.

Pros
  • Image, ease of setup, a new level of gaming experience. You feel like a direct participant in the process in the game: if you reload a weapon, then you do it as in reality: first you need to pull out the magazine, and then pull the bolt and everything with handles, that is, you need to do it with controllers. I donโ€™t advise impressionable people in a VR helmet to play horror stories, you can crap ., i. E. get very scared :-)
Cons
  • Price. 70-odd thousand for a helmet, given that this is a budget option. I have a system unit to which I connect the helmet and it's cheaper :-)
