Review on Avador Pack of 5 Hand Rolled Cotton Diya Wicks: Perfect for Puja Batti & Akhand Oil Lamps by Crystal Harrison

I bought them in a set with a Rastogi Aarti and Diya lamp, I don't think they are primarily intended for this type of lamp where the wick passes through a into the Lamp is threaded hole above. These wicks are basically the same consistency as loose cotton swabs, but are denser. They work better in this lamp than the braided oil lamp wick I tried (it kept getting darker). However, these wicks are too thick to fit through the lamp I have. I have to cut them lengthwise to make them thinner. Then I dip it in ghee, roll it up as tightly as I can, and put it in the freezer to harden long enough to run it through a lamp. After that, it lasts through a number of ignitions, turning the wick out of the bowl if necessary. There's probably a more elegant way to do this, but this is what I came up with!
