Impossible to reassemble

We literally used these once and couldn’t put the straw back in after cleaning. Maybe I’m dumb but we’ve used dozens of different brands and cups for my 2-year old and this one by far is the worst. I put these in the donation pile so hopefully someone can figure them out better.
