I use this product for my kitten who has kidney disease. In fact, this is the second kitten. I think this product has given me an extra year with my older kitten and my current one. possibly 2 more years. She will NOT eat kidney supplements and neither will he. Be sure to purchase unflavored lactulose from your vet to give to your cat when using this product. This product can cause constipation and Lactulose is the solution. I use 1/2 scoop of Epakitin plus 4-5 drops of Lactulose per jar of Chic Feast for my cat. She is a little cat; She only eats about 1 1/2 cans of food a day. A bigger cat that eats more food gets more food per day, which is correct. I used a full scoop plus 9 drops of lactulose when using the large jars with two cats. Definitely give it a try if your cat turns up his nose at prescription food!
