Review on Women'S Sleeveless Flowy Tunic Top Perfect For Leggings By Esenchel by Amy Wilkins

Cheap & Cheerful Maternity Solution

If you are looking at Esenchel dresses for cheap maternity wear, go for it. I've ordered four kinds so far - the Flowy Sleeveless Tunic Top For Leggings, the Flowing Tunic Tank Top Sleeveless Loose Shirt, the T-Shirt Dress Short Sleeve Casual, and the T-Shirt Dress Long Sleeve Swing - and they have all worked great for a warm-to-cool weather pregnancy. I'm 5' tall and normally 107 lbs, currently 122lbs at nearly six months along. I've been wearing these in a size small since April; it is now July, and I expect they will last through my delivery in October (upstate NY climate). These dresses are very basic and versatile, depending on what you wear with them. Unless your workplace requires a uniform or tailored suits, I think you can make these work just about anywhere as a base with the right add-ons. The fabric heft varies by color; most of mine are in dark grey, light grey and dark green, all of which are sufficiently thick, but I do have one in a light blue which is quite thin. The tunic style will work as a standalone without trousers if, like me, you are very short. In cold climates in the dead of winter I think you would have to layer these - the tunic style worn over the long sleeve style would probably work, with tights and a shrug. The main thing is: these are dead comfortable for those with a growing and tender belly, and cute in an Amelie sort of way. Would also recommend for anyone recovering from abdominal surgery, or who just plain dislikes clothing cutting into their bellies. There is a subtle A-line cut to these so that they don't look like a mumu, but the swingy style means they will not constrict your mid-section.

Pros
  • Hand Wash Only
Cons
  • Unflattering cut
