They worked great and have held up! I took a size 2.25 for a 50 lb springer spaniel. 2.0 fits his hind legs but not his front legs. We took great care to ensure they were tightened all the way and then really tightened the velcro. We did a 3 mile hike through the woods and it went crazy over bushes and 3+ inches of snow. They never broke up. From time to time we checked that they weren't slipping down. Snow got into the upper part but not under the velcro. His feet were dry after an hour of walking. Expensive but worth it having had to stop and chew snowballs off your feet in the past. I like that his paws are protected! I will say we are lucky and our dog wears everything so there was no worry if he would walk in it or not.
