Very high quality, but the dew claws rub a bit.

These are amazing boots. Very high quality and durable. Unfortunately they seem to rub my dog's claws and the socks are snug enough to keep the snow out when they are playing at the dog park. I can try to tweak them a bit to better suit my dogs this season. I think that's just one of the problems with finding dog shoes. There are so many different paw shapes out there!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative impression

Big. Big size for front paws, small size for back paws

I really like these booties. It only takes my dogs about a minute or two to stop "taking those things off me" and then they don't even seem to notice. As long as you tighten them very well, they probably won't come loose. It took a bit of trial and error to find the right shoes, but I found that a larger pair for the front paws and a smaller pair for the back paws worked best and this was the case for both of my dogs.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Zero

Work great in the snow: Boots

They worked great and have held up! I took a size 2.25 for a 50 lb springer spaniel. 2.0 fits his hind legs but not his front legs. We took great care to ensure they were tightened all the way and then really tightened the velcro. We did a 3 mile hike through the woods and it went crazy over bushes and 3+ inches of snow. They never broke up. From time to time we checked that they weren't slipping down. Snow got into the upper part but not under the velcro. His feet were dry after an hour ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

Not for small dogs for clothing and accessories

My wife and I have struggled to find a better alternative to the Ball Paws product as we have lost several packs of value as ours Dogs seem to be between sizes. After trying other brands we couldn't find anything different in any style of boot; Eventually we decided to try these incredibly expensive boots, realizing that maybe the money is in the workmanship, quality and ultimately the fit. Well, unfortunately nobody seemed to have thought of small dogs and their anatomy during the designโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Over the last 3 winters I have bought 5-7 different types of dog boots for our soon to be 3 year old Irish Setter. Dog Information/Use: 50 lbs. Irish Setter, living in downtown Chicago, walks at least 3 hours every day, sometimes more and for longer periods of time. bear again until this night. If your dog has to wear boots I STRONGLY recommend that you use at least two sets/alternate them otherwise they won't have enough time to dry and will get really smelly. My main criteria for boots isโ€ฆ
