You have to be very careful with this wooden model

I've solved many "puzzles" with 3D models, most of them much more difficult than this one. This is of course a budget model, but the lower price also means the wood is much thinner and more brittle. When I opened the package, many of the pieces of wood fell into the large planks. Putting them all back in their place is very important as the individual pieces are not labeled. The only way to know which part is which is to match the part number chart to the actual wood frame. I had an issue with part A9 breaking when I took it out. As I mentioned, I build a lot of these types of models and this is the first time I've broken a part by ripping it off the board. The reason for this is that the wood is much thinner than what most manufacturers use. I was able to glue this part together and then glue it to the model so it doesn't break again. The instructions do not indicate which way the colored pieces should face so you can see the color on the finished product. Overall I would still give this model 4 stars. Although you have to be extremely careful with the wooden parts not to break them, this is still a good model and a good value for the current price of $16.
