I don't know what all the bad reviews are about. The instructions clearly indicate how to use the tool and what pressure should be applied. I've only used one of these on all my walls where I want to remove the paper. It is a large dining room wall, a kitchen table and a bathroom. It has never damaged my walls with too much pressure, nor has it broken like some reviews say. It has actually returned to my toolbox in the garage for future use. Just remember not to apply too much pressure, so use the lighter to pierce the wallpaper just a little to allow the water to get in. In my photos you can see all the walls I've worked on with this tool and close-up shots of the small holes he makes in the wallpaper to give you an idea of how the tool works. Please read the instructions and start with very low pressure and only increase pressure as needed until you see results. If you can still get results with reduced pressure, you should keep that pressure and anything else will not only cause the tool to break, but you'll pierce the drywall underneath the paper. After baking the walls with this product, I just sprayed the walls with hot water in sections. You can use a sponge but I used a water bottle. Then I waited 15 minutes and repeated this step again. This made it much easier to pick up the paper and it just peeled off. In some places I had to apply more hot water and in some places I had to use a scraper but I can't imagine it getting any easier without this tool. I then rinsed the walls with some dishwater in a bucket and a large sponge to remove the glue.
