I tested this on a workbench with a 13v power supply and an amp/wattmeter and it draws 41 watts which is what I expected and wanted. The current consumed is about 3 amps. All the lights were very bright and it took about 5 minutes for them to start heating up. It will definitely light up the path ahead of you. The construction is solid and comes with all mounting hardware. I don't know about the waterproofing because I don't have it installed, but it's not a big problem for me. I think the wattage on the box is the old conversion metric where a 12 watt LED bulb has the same lumen output as a 100 watt incandescent bulb. Using this rating methodology, this light can be said to have the same lumen output as a 275w incandescent bulb.
