If you don't already know, 3-pin fans like this are directly related between voltage and RPM. However, this also means that the less voltage you apply, the less bright the LEDs shine. So the low RPMs mean the LED is virtually non-existent. That is clear. What is unclear is that around 70 percent of the energy is required to switch on the LEDs. It was very noisy just to turn on the led lights. On the other hand, my other fans from a different brand like Thermaltake were running at 30 percent power and their LEDs were still on. If you always wear headphones and don't mind noise, go for it. If you have sensitive ears, buy a 4-pin plug or a more reputable brand.
