The first 2 I tried to install on my boat resulted in an absolute technical failure of this product. The wires are tiny and very fragile where they are soldered to the LED board. They lifted off the board with a slight movement. I was very careful and they just fell apart. I ordered some other blue LEDs from another supplier and they came with a drop of RTV or silicone where the wires made contact with the circuit board. This not only made the wiring of the competitor's product durable and easy to manage, but also made the LED waterproof. This brand has a hole in the plastic for the insertion and contact of the wires with the circuit board. Without sealing this hole, the wires break easily and water can enter if it gets through the outer seal. Luckily I bought a pack of 8 and found that a small silicone bead on a wire base made it possible to use them. If you buy them make sure you have some silicone on hand and use it to reinforce the wire bases before you touch them. They come with a coiled wire, just twist the wires without much care to destroy them. Even with caution, I can see there will be some casualties. So if you're shopping from this supplier, buy at least double the amount you need and make sure you have silicone on hand.
