I got myself a suitable thermostat for the Nissan 4.0 engine.

My 2007 Nissan Pathfinder had a rebuilt engine. It has worked well from day one. However, the temperature sensor fluctuates between normal and almost hot. Not what I wanted to see after spending a lot of money on a new motor. The engine had a new tstat installed when it was installed on the car. But those weren't EOM stats. Big mistake. There was not enough coolant. The aftermarket tstat has a slightly smaller hole than the Nissan tstat. The EOM stat I bought here works great. The temperature reading does not rise above the normal value. Heed my advice. Spend a little more. Get EOM.
