I have high ceilings with a shelf that I constantly rest colored bottles on and these candles look really good for a nice effect behind the bottles and the remote control has great range which i was happy with because i got these candles about 9ft tall and set back a bit and the remote finds them, the remote has a choice of dimmer or brighter and also how the lights flicker like a flicker candle and another roll, for my purpose i put rollers on, also the timer allows different settings, 2/4/6/8 hours, now i have 2 hours to save battery, i got them about 2 weeks ago and turn them all on at night and works still good, batteries were already in when i got them so they were ready to use, just needed to be plugged in, also like a bewer tung says you can get a battery pack for a reasonable price. what i plan to do
