To be honest, I'm amazed at how well this Wimaxit external touch monitor works! I originally got this for a number of reasons. Firstly my son is in cyberschool this year due to COVID and he has both a desktop and a laptop but no touchscreen. He's in 2nd grade so he must be able to do a lot of things that he had a hard time navigating with the mouse. In fact, a touchscreen would have made his and my life a lot easier when it came to schoolwork. Second, I wanted something with a touchscreen that I could use to work with my Dell XPS for specific things I need to do. I only need it a few times a month although it was mainly for my son. Last but not least, I wanted a portable monitor for his Nintendo Switch. I thought it would fit so I decided to give it a try. Just a word of caution, don't be frustrated when you first turn it on and see how dim it is, mine was set to 11% brightness so after turning it on I was ready to go! No, it's not as sharp and crisp as my Dell XPS screen, but it's more than enough. Even better than I expected to be honest. The touchscreen is also better than I expected. It's very rare that he doesn't notice what I'm doing. It has a very, very slight lag when registering a touch, but again, barely noticeable. In terms of compatibility, I've used it with my sons in the same device, as well as his laptop, my Dell XPS and my iPad Pro with no issues. Now I have only one problem with our Nintendo Switch. In fact, I'm currently waiting for a response from this brand's support team to see if they have any ideas if I'm doing something wrong or if there's some other problem. I'm by no means a technical genius, but I know enough to do most things and I work on the computer all day. I've watched countless videos to see if I'm doing something wrong with the switch, but as far as I can tell, I'm not. I use the official switch adapter and even bought another official switch adapter to try. As far as I can tell I'm doing everything right and the screen just flashes quickly when plugged into the Switch. I've tried both using power from the switch and plugging in and plugging in the monitors' own external power supply. Again, I might be doing something wrong, but I'm waiting for a repeat from the brand to see if they have any ideas. But other than that issue with the switch, it works perfectly. The only other minor issues I have are the buttons for changing settings on the monitor, which are a bit fiddly to use. And while the case/"rack" appears to have been updated, it's still not very stable. There are magnets that now hold the case to the curve of the monitor to make it more stable, but I would still recommend a separate tablet stand. Although I don't really care about either. Just thought I'd mention it because they could be better. Overall I am very impressed with this monitor. It is very versatile and can be used with almost anything. Hopefully I'll fix the Switch issue, but other than that it's a fantastic choice at a pretty affordable price.
