I don't use them all the time, but whenever a family member walks into a high-risk environment like a doctor's office or a crowd, we use them. They definitely make your mask feel more snug, but I think it's totally worth protecting, especially since we have an immunocompromised child at home. We use them with a variety of cloth face masks that have filter bags and they fit almost all of them, even my youngest child's masks and she has a small face.
