This is a great option when you want a little protection for your boards. It would still be easy to cut cords with wire cutters, but it offers some protection against theft. They are very easy to install and stay safe. I've been using them for over two years and have moved two longboards (one 9-2, the other 10-0) between states with no problem even at very high speeds. You'll find them most comfortable when loading your boards from the back, with the fins on the back; This way you never have to disconnect the steel cables from the crane. It's generally recommended to load the board's ribs forward so they catch on the straps if they come loose. I'm not worried about what will happen with this product as the ratchet allows you to pull the straps/faucet very tight. I only use day bags and have had no issues with board damage.
