I bought these in July 2018 and we were very happy with them. We had a 100lb German Shepherd, we had a tragedy last night and found the cable was snapped, he was loose, got hit by a car and eventually died. Our house has been destroyed by the sudden loss of our dog. and I don't blame the tie cord entirely because I had to inspect the cord, but it does play some part in the rating because I feel like the plastic breaks easily and the actual metal is exposed to the elements and weakens that section . So if you buy this product, check the tie and make sure you replace it if it creases and the plastic breaks. because it could be the last day you see your dog.
