Review on 🚘 ACDelco GM OE CF197 Cabin Air Filter by Bryan Orozco

Excellent OEM cabin filter, does a great job of removing dust and odors from the vehicle's incoming air. As with any air filter, be aware that when you replace this dirt can shift from your old filter and into the fan motor underneath. Although it's easy to remove by looking for the hole (below the filter) and gently pulling out the dirt. My dealer wanted to charge me $64 plus tax and settle for that. All it took was a flathead screwdriver to pry open the tabs and pry the old filter out with a pry. I find this filter very well built and a perfect replacement. There are higher quality filters out there, but overall cost and maximum efficiency seems to be best with this filter. I previously bought a K&N reusable air filter, but after seeing how delicate it is to clean and re-lube a reusable filter, I decided to switch back to a disposable paper carbon filter. (Slightly less airflow/capacity but better value for money and much easier to service). Update - 10/21/2020: Just bought a spare to change my oil! Keeps the air in my car fresh and clean! Don't bother with more expensive filters, this one does the job just fine. OEM is what you need! There's a reason they built it in!
