🚘 ACDelco GM OE CF197 Cabin Air Filter Review

Easy to install and if you're like us and have never thought about this filter - change yours now! We've waited a few years and I can tell you will notice a difference. Our old filter didn't look bad, but once you put the new one in, you can tell the difference as soon as you turn on the heating or cooling fan!

This is OE quality. Google to find out how to install, which isn't too difficult. The small door that closes this filter has latches on either side that made it a bit difficult to open the lid. The filter I replaced wasn't too dirty after about 30,000 miles and seemed like it would be really fine for many more miles.

After 150,000 miles of never thinking of a cabin air filter, it dawned on me; i have to change it Passengers have often complained that the air smells dirty, but I've never felt that smell, but maybe I've gotten used to it. After removing the old filter, it had leaves, dead bugs, dirt, and mold. After changing the filter, I noticed a significant improvement in airflow and air quality.

Bought for my 2010 Buick Lacrosse CXS. It fits perfectly. I had virtually no airflow from the vents. Then it dawned on me that this car has a cabin filter! He was completely wrapped up. Make sure you change this every 12,000 miles or you will suffer like me. Doesn't matter. Pretty simple build. Located behind the glove box. I highly recommend this product.

Purchased to fit my 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited. Looks just like the original and fits perfectly. Not very difficult to install but you will need to remove the glove box. Find a YouTube video and you're done. Revain put this up for sale a few months after I bought this first one and the second one came packaged completely differently, in a bag instead of an AC Delco box with a hologram on it. So time will tell if the quality is the same as the first one or not.

I replaced the cabin air filter tonight. This replacement filter appears to be identical to the original filter that I removed. Installation was a little tricky due to the location of the filter, but I was able to replace it in about 20 minutes (some of that time was spent figuring out how to replace it). This is the first time the filter has been changed and we are at 75,000 miles. The original filter was pretty dirty so I'll probably change it again when I've driven 100,000 miles.

Excellent OEM cabin filter, does a great job of removing dust and odors from the vehicle's incoming air. As with any air filter, be aware that when you replace this dirt can shift from your old filter and into the fan motor underneath. This was purchased for a friend for his Chevy Volt Gen2 (2017). The filter was packaged in a plastic bag with "Made in Mexico" part numbers, a warning that it could not be returned once opened, and an address in Detroit, Michigan. This item comes without instructions. I can't find any description of this filter online or on the box other than that it fits this car.
