Review on ๐Ÿฆต Shock Doctor Maximum Support Compression Hinged Knee Brace by Josh Long

Poor quality and design

I want to start by saying why I really don't like the design of this knee brace. In the last picture I posted you can see the "x" design the straps make behind the knee. This special design causes the tendon on the back of my knee to be squeezed hard whenever I have to bend my knee vertically. Just to ride the bike I have to loosen both the bottom and top straps so the straps have enough slack to bend my knee without pinching it. It's not a big deal for me, but I have a feeling it might be for some. Second, the overall quality of the knee brace itself leaves a lot to be desired. Literally on the second day of use, the seams began to unravel (photo #4). At the time, I didn't think it was a big deal, just a small seam. Well when I took these photos 1 month after ordering this knee pad the ring that guides the patella started to fall apart as did the mesh padding area over the knee pad. I know this brace is at the bottom of the kneecap. Tiered pricing for a double joint brace, but I really don't recommend anyone to buy one. You might as well wait and save another $30 for better quality and a better designed knee brace.
