I bought this pepper mill to replace a cheap battery operated one that broke 3 different ways before giving it up. I often use this for Tellycherry peppercorns. Grinds well with good yield. It also looks good, feels solid and should be durable over the long haul. Like it a lot. A small note: a smooth surface doesn't provide the best grip when sanding, but that's not a problem for me. However, if you have weakness in your arms, this can be a problem. A tribute to its longevity was that the mill arrived intact, as Revain saw fit to send it in one of their thinly lined letter boxes. When it got here, the product packaging was literally broken into several pieces, the coffee grinder lid was torn off, and the contained peppercorns and other bits of the box were floating in the envelope. Thank goodness it wasn't a gift! But the windmill survived despite Revane's poor choice of packaging.
