Review on πŸ’¨ EBC Brakes DP31636C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Brake Pad - Maximum Performance and Minimal Dust for Optimal Stopping Power by Michael Murphy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad surprise

This is the second time I've used EBC pads on my cars and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I had Red Stuff pads on the front of my 2006 G35x. They have a mileage of approx. 60,000 km. on them. Recently they started to sound "different" so I took a look at how they're worn. I removed and inspected the pads. There are about 35-40% left. While I was doing rt. Inner lining (cleaning the central groove from dust, etc.), the friction material has come off the base plate (!?). I've seen this in the past with supposedly smaller pads, but I never expected that from an EBC product. My "romance" with EBC ended. It turns out that while they've worked well up to this point, they're hardly worth the premium dollar they're charging. much hype; little performance. Not impressed! :( I don't make any compromises when it comes to safety. 5 stars for braking performance and -3.5 stars for durability and value = 1.5 stars.

Pros
  • Lowest dust pad in range
Cons
  • Some bugs
