I owe a 2008 Kawasaki Concours and started having trouble opening the gas cap. The key started to turn and slipped into the lock so hard I thought it was going to break. I often had to be the key to getting back in shape. Last year I sat at the gas station for almost 45 minutes trying to open the gas cap. I asked the locksmith to make me stronger keys, but the original problem with resistance when opening the gas cap did not go away. One day I saw online that other Connie owners were having the same issue and a video said order another gas cap before it sticks. Why did not I think of this. I ordered a CNC billet aluminum gas cap from Xitomer. Fingers crossed I removed the original gas cap - it came off. I used the screws that came with the new cover and they fit perfectly. Today I rode the motorcycle, there was no smell of exhaust, no problems with the fuel. Installed in minutes. Any Connie owners who have had problems with their gas cap should buy one. Love it!
