I really liked this product, even more than I expected. I used it to create an accent lighting event for my college dorm. The remote control added a lot to this product. Yes, it has the typical ability to change colors into different options, but it also has the ability to flicker, fade, and fade the light. You can also control the speed at which the lights will blink faster or slower depending on what you want to do. The lights are very bright and will draw attention even in a semi-dark room as shown in my picture attached to this review. I did not give the product five stars for several reasons. The first reason is that the remote only works well if you point it directly at the sensor connected to the white box you see in the picture. It was difficult for me to get this sensor to work all the time, and sometimes I had to reconfigure everything to get the remote to work. Second, when it says "programmable," it really just means you can customize your own shade of the provided color. So if you want a lighter or darker blue color already provided, you can create it and bind it to a button on the controller. That's it in terms of programming. Don't be like me and think that you can program certain colors to last longer in the flash sequence than others, because you can't. Ultimately this is an amazing product. Plugs right into the wall and has everything you need to start your own light show. The adhesive on the back works great as long as the surface you apply it to is dry and you can attach it securely without having to readjust. I would buy this product again.
