UPDATED: I removed the asterisk because I recently saw the Proposition 65 warning that it contains arsenic and other carcinogenic chemicals, so I'm scared of it now. I've also found that pure citrulline WITHOUT the acidic malate is better. It works just as well without all the acid in your mouth and throat. This is the big part where I had to deduct a star and maybe that's not even fair because that's all they claim. It is a mixture of L-citrulline and malic acid. Because of the ACID, this is probably the dietary supplement best taken in capsule form. Basically you're drinking a glass of acid and you know what acid does to your teeth? Next time I will buy it in capsule form to avoid this problem. Now that I'm using the sachet slowly, I'll take it down with a glass of water and then rinse my mouth out with a mixture of baking soda and water to neutralize any remaining acid in my mouth and on my teeth. But now for the good: I can run long distances and I'm not as tired as I was before taking it. I can do all sorts of exercises like sit-ups, chin-ups, push-ups, pull-downs, not to mention doing housework like picking things up off the floor, sweeping, mopping, laying on the floor, cleaning and standing up, and not feel so tired, exactly as before ingestion. And as a nice perk, the bedroom fun just got a lot more fun and lasts longer, if you know what I mean. Another nice side benefit is that when I get home from my run I'm sweaty all over, but I'm not as breathless on ammonia as I used to be. Citrulline helps rid the body of ammonia that would otherwise be eliminated in sweat. I love this product for all its benefits and how convenient and affordable it is. It mixes easily with water to form a clear liquid. Maybe I should just look for pure citrulline powder without malic acid, but supposedly malic acid is important or they wouldn't put it in. Maybe I'll go for the capsule form next time. It won't be that cheap or work that fast, but it might save my teeth from acid erosion.
