As I was no longer able to use this lens and was not thrilled because it accidentally damaged and had to be removed and removed by hand, I replaced the 14-42mm lens with this 17mm fixed lens. Wow. ! ***** The 17mm lens was a treat. If it focuses quickly and correctly. It also focuses well and works very well in low light. This lens produces very sharp images with excellent resolution. It appears automatically when you turn on the camera (which the 14-42 doesn't) and is ready to shoot straight away. For protection I recommend a UV filter. And I highly recommend this lens as my first choice.
