It's light but not compact so I think it's a design issue. It is made in Thailand, 1400 watts. I don't know if it has a power switch or an adapter for use in a non-US outlet. As it doesn't suit me it's too weak, even with high performance for a comparable price I get more airflow for faster drying. If drying hair takes more than twice as long, I prefer one that's quick, even if it's a few grams heavier to get the job done properly.
