Review on Klein Tools 5244 Tool Apron with Tape Thong and Four Reinforced Pockets, Adjustable Waist Size 32 to 53-Inch by Dre Fishburne

Get to know Franklin's Purse - Klein by name, not quality.

I had high hopes for this bag after first seeing it in the field and then reading the reviews. I don't feel like I was too rough with this particular piece of workwear. In hindsight, I found that my tools weren't turned handle down, and I tended to pack them full stuff with just standard screws and connectors. After my first purchase, I opened it up without hesitation and put it on straight away. every day, many hours a day and many a week. I don't see the date of purchase but I would estimate and say 6 months of hard riding and wet hanging. First the inner pocket seam started to unravel turning the tool pockets into one giant pocket wide enough for ANY tool to end up sideways and deep in the forearm. - Then came the outer fabric pockets. They are literally just sewn onto an inside pocket, not a real pocket. It turned into a huge mess, but I tried to deal with both. After about a week of trying to figure it out and willfully ignoring the unwinding ball of yarn. I took it home and stopped using it in the field. Tried dropping the bag and bought a Mississippi bag from Atlas46 instead. They have many other tool bag offerings, but I've chosen a simple setup to get you started. Looks much better and lasts longer (+ lifetime replacement guarantee for ANY REASON). Unfortunately shipping delays and COVID delayed this purchase and I repaired this item myself. I spent over 4 hours hand sewing this, my fingertips are sore and I stuck the needle under my nail multiple times. But it's worth using an apron at work instead of tool belts and the like. I'm an electrician, not a seamstress, so please admire and respect the sewing. You MUST reinforce the seams and sew the corners together for your own durability, which the Kleins themselves wouldn't do. I didn't follow my own rule. Waste of money". MY SUGGESTION would be to skip the heartache and start with Atlas46. I saw their bags in the field and was very impressed.
