Review on πŸ§€ Grade 100 Premium Quality Cheesecloth - Ultra Fine Cotton Farm, 100% Mediterranean Cotton, 9-18-45 Sq. Ft, Unbleached, Reusable, Washable; Ideal for Straining... (9 SQ. FT. or 1 SQ. YD.) by Jesse Blair

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I ordered a second one

Update: I just made a massive batch of cultured cream cheese, too much for my strainer, so I poured a smaller amount of the exact same cream cheese into another strainer with a walnut pouch with a very fine weave . This muslin primarily filtered out whey, which the bag of nuts did not. So I ordered a second one for larger batches or multiple cheeses made at the same time. That works great. 1. Rating: Good stuff. Beautiful weaving. This is better than our previous hardware store gauze and has a gauze like weave. On it the recovered edges are perfect and should be fine. The raw edges frayed as expected; I made zigzag edges, cut off the excess threads, folded in two and sewed two edges. Next it is pre-washed. It must be used for my yoghurt, cream cheese, mascarpone, ricotta for years.
