Most ring lights sold are too small and not bright enough to get the full benefits of a ring light. If the ring is too small, you won't get a round shadow on the background. If it's not bright enough, too much ambient light will come in from windows/ambient lighting and the effect will be ruined. This is the perfect combination of price, size and brightness. I'm glad they used a plug instead of a battery, it's a good way to keep costs down. Had it been battery powered it wouldn't have lasted very long given its brightness unless a larger (expensive) battery was used. Color temperature balancing was quick/easy. The entire user interface is simple enough for my 6 year old to understand. Attaching my iPhone X was easy and the rotating ball head was a nice touch. The icing on the cake was the fact that it comes with a nice, sturdy, lightweight stand. They could have used a cheaper lighting stand and no one would have noticed.
