As others have written, the listing says "1 inch maximum door thickness". This is clearly wrong. I just installed one of these on a drawer front panel that was exactly 5/8" thick wood. Only when I removed the trim sleeve did it screw on at all, and even then it was difficult to screw on. Anything over 5/8. 8 Inch thick, forget it, that won't happen. I wouldn't expect anything over 1/2" thick to fit if you want the trim collar on the front as well. The manufacturer's website also states that this U9943 model has a maximum thickness of up to 9/16 inches. If you are looking for a thicker drawer/cabinet lock, the U9945 (stainless steel front) or U9946 (brass front) fits doors up to 13/16" thick (and shares the same 3/4" hole).
