As described in the listing and prior reviews, this is as easy as screwing in a lightbulb. No way we'd know if this truly lasts 40,000 hours . . . check back in 2039. The arms fold down or at a 90 degree angle (pointing the light to the floor). Not perfect, but not a dealbreaker.For those expecting a natural or soft-white light that is more typical inside your living space, look elsewhere. The LEDs are more industrial - there is a bluish "daytime" tone rather than the yellow or off-white tone. It takes a bit of time to get your eyes acclimated. I had a single "daytime" light in the same space before and had to toss it because it simply wasn't enough wattage (my garage felt like a Soviet interrogation room). These are MUCH brighter.
