My Yeti X needs to be closer to my mouth when sitting. The quality of the recorded voice decreases sharply as the microphone moves away from the mouth. This kit delivers near-perfect clarity. I was able to get the perfect mic position and the filters deliver studio quality sound. I made a rack modification. As seen in the photo I removed one of the springs and attached it with the straps provided. With all the springs attached, the stand had a tendency to rise as I had to fully extend the stand (maximum spring force). This is probably not a problem if you set the stand lower than your seating position, mine is set at about chest level and to the side of me. With a feather removed, everything is perfect. I can move it to any position and it will hold that position. I'm convinced you can't get a better stand even if you buy the $99 blue stand. The lucky guy is here.
