Review on Highpi Inflatable 11X33X6W Accessories Backpack by Ted Slaughter

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Overall unimpressed...

***Update for verification: HIGHPI customer service contacted me and said their board has a warranty and that they guarantee the quality of their boards. They will replace the board I originally received which is really great of them and hopefully the next board will be of a much higher quality than the first. I will update this review again once I have the replacement board and try it out. *** I am not impressed with this paddle board. A group of friends of mine bought inflatable SUPs this season and after trying SEVERAL of them from many different brands (some quite expensive others cheaper like this one) they all seemed pretty much the same to me. So I chose this board because I honestly liked the colors. But I was disappointed with everything else except the flowers. First it came straight out of the box with a scratched seal. Also, ALL the D-rings on the sides were covered in dried excess glue (how is that really?) and it took a lot of Q-tip and stickiness to try and pull it off to actually allow the D-rings to move like they did must. Despite this, I was delighted with my new board and decided not to bother with these relatively minor issues because I just wanted to enjoy it! So I took it on my first tour and…. Big phew! :(Compared to competitors in the same price range (especially Dama boards) it was incredibly thin, agile and didn't even hold its shape! over them like damn noodles instead of staying stiff and strong like a paddle board we were on fairly flat water with the occasional small ripple yet I couldn't even stand up!Kayaking before I've tried it on this board my friend (on the back of the board) was practically sitting in the water!Although we were GOOD within the 350 lbs weight limit. And even after i dropped the idea and went solo it worked it was still very unstable i hope i can do yoga on it...well...does it float?yes for the most part.i will allow me to chill out on it with my friends?super calm water and just paddling?yes very short distances.but it's just not great.just generally very cheap, poor quality and not durable.i will clearing up this season, but next year I will definitely move on to something more valuable. I definitely wouldn't spend $300 on this board if given the chance. There are MUCH better boards out there for the same price or a little more and next time I will buy from the brand I tried first.
