Review on πŸ’§ Stainless Steel Water Dispenser by New Wave Enviro Products by Pamela Mcgee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No leaks if you follow these simple instructions!

I have never written an Amazon review in my many years as a customer. I felt compelled to do so after seeing all the bad reviews this product had been wrongly receiving. I read all the good and bad reviews before buying and tried it. I've had it set up for a month now and it's working great. Not a single drop of water escaped. The secret to making sure the water doesn't come out of the faucet is to follow the advice of another reviewer who has successfully used and published this method. I used his technique and it worked exactly as he said it would. When installing the faucet, you will notice that it comes with two rubber grommets located on each side of the metal body of the dispenser body. You will notice that these gaskets are flared so the flared ends point away from the metal on either side. The secret is making sure it's tight enough so that these pads stop expanding and instead are flush on both sides. If they don't seem flush or almost flush, then it's not tight enough and could leak! Hand tightening is not sufficient, you will need to use pliers or ideally a 1-1/8" socket wrench over the nut and turn it by hand. If the seal is still not flush or you want to be more secure, fill the tank with HOT water on the top of the nut and let it sit for 5 minutes. Gently drain the hot water and immediately take the socket and tighten it again. You will find yourself unscrewing it at least another half turn. Of course, be careful not to over-tighten or you may bend the metal. So to sum it up, if the gaskets don't show flush, they aren't tight enough! It can leak. It's that simple folks. That's common sense and yes there is a bug As for the seams leaking as some have suggested I haven't seen it and since then they're all old reviews I think it's safe to assume rest assured, that the manufacturer has since corrected all of these shortcomings. I highly recommend this dispenser. For the perfect combination, buy a leak-proof lid that fits pots. Works perfectly. UPDATE: It's been over 2 years and 4 months and not a single drop has come out of the faucet or the seams. We use it every day. Fantastic product.
