I liked them so much they are now on the door of every bedroom in our house and on the front door. The one for the front door was a little dirty and didn't magnetize well, but that was chosen for us as I found I preferred to detach it easily. It's still strong enough to hold the front door open, but with a slight tug it disengages from the latch. All others that have been installed on the bedroom doors are extremely strong and will not disengage from the latch unless you follow the proper steps to push to disengage first. By a happy coincidence we ended up with a less durable one for the front door and as strong as Fort Knox for the bedroom. Definitely glad we found them and no longer have to fiddle with doorstops.
