Their initial bite is excellent. They're not loud at all.
I am now a dedicated HPS individual. I have them on all my cars. My Montero Sport from 33s, 96 Civic work car and 97 CRV family car. Their initial bite is excellent. They are not noisy at all and withstand even severe frosts. These were the two main issues as several people complained about them on various forums. I'm assuming they didn't lap (break in) the pad properly. Also, to be perfectly honest, it's hard to compare an old, worn out pad to a brand new one. If I had little money, I would only switch to original pads.
