My initial fear was that the Targus CityLite would look a little cheap and not be durable. After using it for a week it is much smoother and better protected than I expected. First of all, it should be noted that there are no pockets on the outside of the bag, except for the side mesh for storing bottles. Everything else is accessible "from the inside”, meaning you have to remove the bag to access the main compartment. But once you get used to it, it doesn't matter anymore. As a result, the design of the bag is very simple and there is nothing for the bag to get stuck on. In fact, the bag is so elegant that I find it more than acceptable for professional/business use. Looks nice. Inside is a protected and padded compartment for a laptop (my Dell XPS 15 fits) and a tablet/reader. There's a large central compartment for loose items, a zip pocket for small items, and a couple of stretchy pockets for cords, chargers, etc. It's well-organized, meaning things don't clump and scatter (like my current NorthFace). ). The shoulder straps are comfortable and easily adjustable. In addition, there is a cross strap for a shoulder strap to better fix it when hiking. They are adjustable by sliding them up and down. I don't use them and will probably remove them. Overall this is a great bag that I will be using for most meetings and travel from now on. Much better than I expected.
