Review on SoHo Urban Artist 10-Piece Iridescent Metallic Soft Pastels Set: Vibrant Sticks for Art, Drawing, Blending, Layering, and Shading by Jennifer Clark

Although I usually like metallic colors, I wasn't impressed with them. Pastels and I don't seem to get along very well, so I don't know if that's a problem or what. I made patterns on 80# black paper to see how they would look. The colors looked a bit dull and not metallic at all, in contrast to their metallic watercolor counterparts. In the box and in my hand, they looked like they were going to lay down in a creamy state, but they didn't. They lay down like other pastels I've tried and with a lot of dust. I was not impressed and really not thrilled with what I saw in the photo when ordering and that I put it on paper and saw the result. Really appreciate the opportunity to try these as they convinced me to stay away from pastels as they just aren't needed. not that I really understand how to use and hate all the dust. Many Thanks.
