Review on Faucet U495S 69 PK 69 Inch Stainless Chrome by Michael Baird

If you are buying this for daily washing of small children and/or pets expect to be replaced in as little as 4 months. I bought it on April 18th, 2016, it arrived on April 20th and I installed it the same day. I use this daily to wash my dogs paws every time they go to my backyard on business (the backyard is full of mud) so twice a day for 2 dogs. I also bathe one dog once a week and the other every 23 weeks. So, as you can see, I use it actively every day. If you have children, it could very well be you. The problem is that the metal sheathing at the base of the hand-end cone has split completely over the hose, exposing the rubber hose underneath. What's worse is that the case had a sharp edge and cut into the handset when I tried to use it (before deciding what to do ie get warranty support, get a new one, etc.). I have now gone through 2 generics and this delta and NONE of them seem to last more than 34 months. I've become a lot more cautious about using them since the last two, but they seem to be short-lived. I will try another brand while trying to get Delta to extend the warranty. ***Updated October 31, 2017*** Okay, at least Delta's warranty is good, so I'm adding a star. . I forgot there was a lifetime guarantee. I'll only keep two of them on hand from now on. If one fails, I can at least ask Delta to replace it. However, I suspect that if I do this too often they might just end up giving me my money back as it would be more cost effective than replacing 23 times a year.
