I needed something to darken my bedroom during the day and they fitted perfectly. The fabric is of excellent quality, the additional black layer does its job perfectly, the seams are sewn well. They are quite heavy so for longer sizes make sure your curtain rod can support them. However, my window was 3x7 and my cheap $20 aluminum bar did a great job. They darken and the light does not penetrate through the curtain. Obviously light will seep through the gaps if not mounted on a wrapped rod or if it doesn't fit properly or if the rod is installed improperly. However, no light penetrates through the curtain. They look very simple, but that can be an advantage depending on the situation. You should probably straighten them before hanging if you're worried about the look.
