With all the Grapevine review promotions, I wasn't sure I could trust the reviews for this product. However, I tried the pork version and my dog loved it. Yes, it's very, very thick and very sticky - more so than other pies - so I add water. Some jars had hardened globules of fat which I removed. A couple of glasses arrived terribly dented but still usable. Our dog had an anal gland problem due to an intolerance to chicken and peas, so this was a try with a different protein source - pork - without the legumes or chicken. He seems to be getting better on this food but now he has a lot of gas - calm peaches that smell like food. Noise bothers him a lot. He's constantly sniffing his ass. Bowel movements are normal, but he poops more often, even waking us up twice a night. He weighs just under 15 pounds and eats a whole can a day; However, he acts like he's been starving all day. This has been the only food I have found so far to deal with his chicken and pea intolerance.
