Medium Little Boys' Merrell Hydro Sandal Shoes Review

This is the second pair for my son. I bought them for summer hikes and water games, but he can wear them with socks in the winter too. We don't hike in the snow or rain anyway, so I don't need another pair of running shoes. These will be all season running shoes for him. Good price. Durable and comfortable. They dry well in the sun. I am very happy with my purchase and will be purchasing a third pair when my son is grown.

Real shoes fit our 4 year old. I ordered 10 wide. Belts are a different story. I bought them a year ago in a size too long and they were ok except the velcro straps were a bit short and the velcro strap itself wore out pretty quickly and lagged behind the shoes. As you can see I sewed on new white velcro straps for the straps to be used. Now I just sewed on another white velcro to make the strap even longer because now that they fit the original velcro position is too short. Our little guy…

We have been buying Merrells for our grandson for many years. These are his game shoes and they are good anywhere. It gets them wet and dirty and soggy and they hold up great. We never had a single breakup before he outgrew them! I even gave the little ones to my cousins as they were in perfect condition.

The profile of these sandals is durable and of high quality. I used the size chart on Merell's own website and measured the size of my child's foot. Thought I'd adjust my order, but it came out just right, with no extra grow space, so maybe they're a bit small. Anyway, we kept them. However, after only 6 weeks of minimal to moderate use, the Velcro fastener clearly detaches from the straps. My sons love those for running, climbing, jumping. normal, very active children. They only ask me to buy the same sandals in a larger size when they outgrow them! I love how durable and secure they are. They fit the feet well and have good plantar support.

Bought these for a very active 9 year old who doesn't wear other shoes unless he has to. They lasted all summer and are still going strong. He likes sandals that he can walk, hike and bike in.

We've had Merrells for my kids since they first learned to wear shoes. This was the only couple that disappointed us. After a month of regular wear, the velcro completely came off and the seams were already tearing. Now they are useless.

I never write reviews but I'm pissed! I should have read the reviews before purchasing. It's so different from other Merrells I've had. I bought this shoe on September 12th and was about to request a return/refund but found that the return window was closed 2 days ago! Velcro is terrible and only lasted a month!

They separated in mid-July. My 7 year old received them in May. They weren't worn every day. They did not respect the playtime in the camp and on the playground. Should have stayed with Keanes for the summer. I was expecting more since his Merrell shoes lasted until he outgrew them (but it wasn't a full school year yet).

At first we really liked these shoes. Although expensive, my husband had several pairs of Merrills and they wore them forever. The rubber broke after a few weeks. They were only worn for light activities, which was disappointing considering the Merrill is known to withstand a lot of wear and tear.

Great summer shoe for my active 5 year old. Easy to put on, good fit and suitable for active use. He's got them wet, dirty, gritty, they're holding up great. The earbuds pop out a lot, but that's not a problem for him.

I bought these for my 5 year old son and he loves them. He says they are very comfortable and is happy that he can walk in the water in them.

I bought them for my family, she said that the elastic thread in the middle of the shoe broke after a few months of wearing, otherwise she feels comfortable in this pair of sandals. As for me, I still prefer the Keen design with microfiber strips.

My son loves these shoes. They fit well, the legs don't chafe, and no breaking-in is necessary. Ideal for water features and hot summer days. Definitely recommend.

Good sandals but not durable. Bought for an active grandson. After 3 months they fell apart - the velcro has come loose from the strap and is no longer good.
