Review on 🐹 19.7 Liters Kaytee Aspen Small Pet Bedding - Enhance Small Animal Comfort by Patty Martin

The smell was irritating in my throat when I first smelled it and my hamster didn't seem to like it. He fell asleep on the top level of his cage where there is no bedding, he never does. This is the first time I've used aspen litter since I learned that pine litter is bad for a hamster's lungs. I was concerned that he was sleeping on hard surfaces so I did a little research and found that some hamsters don't like sleeping on aspen bedding. So I gave my hamster some unbleached, unscented toilet paper and he immediately dragged it over to the aspen bed and made himself a little bed in the corner. So, I think my hamster is happy now but the smell still lingers. I gave this product 3 stars because I think other hamster owners should try it, maybe they don't mind the smell and their hamster won't mind sleeping in it. Next time I will try another brand and see how it compares to this one.
