Great Sound - Receiver and Amplifier

Bought because flat screen TV sound is terrible. I pulled an old Pioneer VSX455 out of the closet and hooked it up to Polk bookshelf speakers, it sounded great for a couple of days and then it died. I was looking at a two-channel receiver from Yamaha and Pioneer for about $150. They seemed a bit over the top for a pair of 5.25" bookshelf speakers, so after doing some research on Chinese mini receivers I settled on the Pyle as there were plenty of them. inputs. With an open box of less than $50, the risk was small. In short I love it, it pairs perfectly with the Polk Audio speakers, the sound is great and the optical in and bluetooth work great. FM reception is so-so but a separate tuner will fix that when I need FM. It has a lot of knobs and buttons so even an old school person like me will find it similar to our old receivers from years ago. Build quality seems pretty solid apart from the FM antenna and remote control. Yes, this receiver has quirks, you have to readjust the volume after a hard shutdown, the remote is cheap and doesn't seem to be compatible with most universal remotes. considering the second for audio on my pc. The perfect form factor and look for it, not to mention great sound.
